Darkness and nighttime can be beautiful. It was one of my first big influences as I would walk through the streets of downtown Nashville, after band rehearsals. Too often nighttime is associated with crime, fear and staying indoors. I seek to recreate that amazement I felt walking to my bus stop in downtown, by showcasing the interplay between light and shadow in the city. What is highlighted by the light is just as beautiful as what's obscured by the darkness. This collection was from a series of shoots, originally meant to only be showcased on Instagram, so these are cropped differently than what I might do now.
